What kind of people go to
Oasis Mountain for treatment?
Oasis Mountain assists people 18 years and older, from all walks of
life, who have a history of misusing
alcohol or other substances, or have an addiction. However, Oasis Mountain may not accept
individuals who are severely mentally unbalanced, or with a significantly
adverse psychiatric history.
How long is a program at
Oasis Mountain?
Our basic program is 14 days, but other programs, ranging
from 28 days are available, and may be appropriate to your
requirements. Many people can get long-term results from our program with just
one two weeks, whether in one stay or multiple visits.
Do you
guarantee that I will not go to jail?
While we accept clients
from anywhere, if you were arrested
for "driving under the influence" in the state of North
Carolina, and face a mandatory jail sentence, you may receive a
day-for-day equivalence if you register for the Oasis Mountain
program prior to your court date. It is best to discuss this with
your attorney and with the county district attorney's office. You may
contact us for a list of attorneys in your area.
What

We have other program
offerings best suited to a participant's schedule. Prices for these
vary, so please call us at 828-669-2331 to discuss your needs. All rooms have
2 queen-sized beds.

Do you accept insurance?
We accept most forms of insurance, however, every insurance company is
different in how much they will allow for our services. It also depends upon the
specific policy that you have with your insurance
company and/or employer. We will be pleased to assist you with this
in whatever way we can. We also accept all major credit cards.
What types of addictions do you treat?
We treat alcohol and another drug misuse, as well other
addictions, chemically dependent, or otherwise.
What kind of
"detox" do you do?
We don't. We are a treatment center not a
detoxification center.
It's up to the client to get
"detoxed" before arriving at Oasis Mountain. Nor are
we a medical center. Hence we do not provide medical
supervision outside our program, or administer or
perform detoxification services. If desired,
Oasis Mountain admissions staff can help make recommendations regarding what facilities are available.
Is it a
"lockdown" facility?
No, we are not a jail or psychiatric
institution. A participant can leave any time he or she so chooses. Oasis Mountain's
approach is to treat people like adults, while supporting and
reinforcing their ability to act with awareness. While, at first,
participants are not allowed to leave our facility, longer programs can
provide special privileges. As a participant gains more mental and physical
self-control, he or she may be given more responsibility.
However, if a participant abuses privileges, his
or her stay will be immediately terminated. In DUI cases notice is then sent to the appropriate
court, usually resulting in activation of the mandatory jail term.
No refunds are available if a person does not complete our program for
whatever reason, though that person may apply for proportional credit toward
attendance at a future Oasis Mountain Wellness Center program. |
