F.A.Q.
(Frequently Asked Questions)

ere are some questions people have asked about the Theatre Tantra event. The Theatre Tanta event is designed to release you from an armored life. It is highly transformative. While participants will learn about Tantra, mostly they will learn about themselves and how they relate to social conditioning and pleasure...and the world around them. It's about enlightenment!

What happens at a Theatre Tantra event?
Each person who has made the journey through an intensive weekend event with Virato and Dhiraja would describe it differently. There is a shift in one's consciousness, and a new view of relationships, and life in general. Click here for others' experiences.

Participants stay together, secluded from the outside world, for the weekend. To modify old patterns, Virato and Dhiraja present opportunities to break through barriers to life's fullest existence, and in that breakthrough, to attain a deep spiritual awareness.

Participants are encouraged to take exciting risks within a safe environment of love..

Each event is custom designed to fit the cultural, physical, mental and spiritual levels of participants …and always expands boundaries.

What are some of the techniques?
As was said, each event is unique depending upon the participants. Some of the techniques and processes are described on Website.  They gently manipulate body, mind and soul into a state of release, washing away the plaque of the brain and unconscious social conditioning. These  techniques and processes may include meditation (traditional and guided), Gestalt, primal therapy, various forms of breath work, mind and soul entrainment, psycho-drama, bioenergetics, dance/movement, Zen, encounter, yoga, play, yantra, visualization, guided fantasy, risk taking and other methods to achieve a state of let-go…into universal oneness.

Is there anything I must do beforehand?
Virato and Dhiraja ask you to do the following: First, refrain from eating red meat for 5 days before the event. Also refrain from using any drugs for 5 days before the event. This includes any illegal stuff like pot, cocaine, uppers/downers, etc. Also do not take any alcohol the day of the event. They also ask that you not wear any essential oils or perfumes the day of the event and a few days before. This includes perfumed deodorants, after shave, hair spray, etc. Also wear natural fiber, loose fitting  clothing during the event.

I am a woman. What if I have my period?
No problem, but we do ask that you use a tampon instead of a sanitary napkin. Be sure to bring an ample supply of tampons.

Will there be nudity?
There may be nudity in some processes Participants get over any embarrassment quite easily. However, everyone is asked to be appropriate, since we do not yet live in a Tantric world. Clothing is removed in the group room only, unless it is appropriate elsewhere.

I have a partner, can we stay together?
Sometimes a person may do a process alone, and sometimes with two or more people. The degree of intimacy shared with others always rests with each participant. Swami Virato and Ma Dhiraja will announce the extent of intimacy in a partnered process to allow for choice.

What about sleeping?
There is time set aside for the body to rest for the night. Some rooms are available, and some choose to sleep in the group room. Swingers, with no spiritual attunement are encouraged to find a more suitable group. It is best to bring a sleeping bag/blanket and pillow.
