irato continues discussion about something taking place on the planet that he says all should know about . Stories on Indigo Children have appeared in the New York Times, USA Today, and the list goes on. These children of the next millennium are sensitive, gifted souls with an evolved consciousness, yet some see them as warriors as well. A growing number of intuitives and scientists say they have come here to help change the vibrations of our lives. The Indigo phenomenon has been recognized as one of the most exciting changes in human nature ever documented in society. The phenomena is happening globally and these experts say that eventually the Indigos will be the new race...the new man. Are they our bridge to the future?
Others say it started a long time ago, and is only now happening at an accelerated rate. Guests include, Susan Gale, into Edgar Cayce and the co-author of Understanding Psychic Children: Indigo Children; Adam Wolinsky, a young man that claims he is an Indigo human; and Carol Crestetto who is conducting ground breaking research in this area. |

Today
Virato speaks with
author Gary R.
Renard. In
1992, a mysterious
couple, claiming to
be Ascended Masters,
appeared from out of
nowhere to Gary in
his living room.
Over
the next decade, he
had numerous
conversations with
these beings. They
revealed some
shocking secrets of
existence, and
provided a new
perspective on the
popular A Course
in Miracles.
Gary R. Renard was
born on the historic
North Shore of
Massachusetts, where
he became a
professional guitar
player. During the
Harmonic Convergence
of 1987 he heard a
Calling and began to
take his life in a
different direction.
At the beginning of
the 1990s he moved
to Maine, where he
underwent a powerful
spiritual awakening.
Gary is the author
of
The Disappearance of
the Universe
and
Your
Immortal Reality |

irato speaks
with spiritual
artist and child
prodigy
Akiane
who says she's been
to Heaven. Born
underwater at home,
on July 9, 1994, in
Mount Morris,
Illinois, at age 12
she has already
lived in
Illinois, Missouri,
Colorado and Idaho,
experiencing poverty
and affluence.
Having attended both
public and private
schools, Akiane
now is home-schooled
with her three
brothers, Delfini
14, Jean Lu 12 and
Llia 3 years old.
She began drawing at
4, and painting at
6, teaching herself
and learning mostly
from her own keen
observation and
study. She speaks
four languages:
Lithuanian, Russian,
English and Sign
Language.
At 4, she
had a life-changing
spiritual
trans-formation,
converting the
family to
Christianity. At age
7 she began
writing poetry and
aphorisms. Her poems
often arrive fully
conceived. Akiane
say the inspiration
for her art and
literature comes
from her visions,
dreams,
observa-tions of
people, nature and
God. She paints from
imagination,
reference materials
and models, and
considers her style
a universal blend of
realism and
imaginism that she
calls Akianism.
Akiane rises
at 4 AM five or six
days a week to get
ready to paint in
the studio and
write, and works for
about four hours a
day.
She
often works over a
hundred hours on a
painting, producing
8 to 10 paintings a
year. Assessing her
own character, she
says she has a
"daring heart and
cautious mind." Her
biggest wish: "that
everyone would love
God and one
another."
She has appeared on
the Oprah Winfrey
Show, ABC
World News Tonight,
The Wayne Brady
Show, CBS
News, and Fox
News, The Saturday
Evening Post and
TIME Magazine.
Recently she has
taken up the piano
and is already
composing her own
music. She is a true
Indigo star
child.

hat's going on? Ads for local supermarkets going green, including Wal-Mart. usually thought of as devil by the granola crowd. Word is that Earth Fare, a fast growing south eastern chain of natural foods supermarkets, has closed two of their stores. Then Slate Magazine breaks the below January 4, 2007 story. Virato chats with Troy DeGroff, Marketing Manager for Earth Fare a natural foods chain in the southeast, and Debi Athos of Organicfest, Pure Food Partners, and others
|
...The Story
© 2007 Slate Magazine
It's fashionable to be down on Whole Foods. In 2006, a year in which the stock markets rocked, shares of Whole Foods fell 40 percent. As upscale shoppers continued to spend with abandon, Whole Foods underperformed quotidian grocers like Safeway and Kroger. In November, analysts downgraded the company's stock, in part because its same-store sales growth fell into the mid single digits.
Whole Foods, which enjoyed two decades of growth, is catching flack from all sides. From below: Wal-Mart is making a push to sell more organic foods, and so are old-line grocers like Safeway and A&P. From above: As Whole Foods becomes mainstream, food snobs are going ever further afield, and local food aficionados have taken to joining the Community Supported Agriculture movement. Writing in Slate last year, Field Maloney argued that Whole Foods' efforts to supply organic foods year-round came at the expense of the environment. Meanwhile, purists can't abide its mixing of conventional and organic foods, and angry vegans complain about its meat-selling practices.
Whole Foods has hit the dip that afflicts many trendy, upscale lifestyle retailers when they expand beyond their natural habitat, from Restoration Hardware to P.F. Chang's. Yet a strong case can be made that Whole Foods isn't in trouble at all, but on the verge of even bigger success.
To start with, Whole Foods enjoys a rate of same-store sales growth that virtually any other retailer would envy. According to its most recent quarterly earnings release, same-store sales rose a very healthy 8.4 percent. Yes, that's below the average rate of the past five years. And, yes, older stores are growing more slowly than new ones. But growth at stores open for more than 11 years was 7.3 percent—more than twice the rate of national economic growth.
Unlike most food retailers, Whole Foods enjoys excellent margins. For the 2006 fiscal year, operating income as a percentage of sales was 5.7 percent. At Kroger, by contrast, it was 3.4 percent.
Whole Foods is also a beneficiary of some of the most significant trends affecting retailers. In a nation increasingly divided between retail haves and retail have-nots, Whole Foods—aka Whole Paycheck—is the big-box retailer to the legions of free-spending rich. Well-heeled professionals who enjoy choosing among eight different types of shrimp, or who love to scoop expensive curries from the Indian prepared food bar, continue to do quite well and have cash to spend. Whole Foods is also a destination for New Luxury trading-uppers, sophisticates who pinch pennies on staples but splurge on items such as Meyer lemons and bresaola.
And while it is a large big-box retailer—187 stores, 2006 sales of $5.6 billion—Whole Foods generally doesn't engender the type of resistance that hinders the expansion of many category killers. Grocery stores tend to be messy, waste-producing, low-wage establishments. Whole Foods, which pays above-market wages and benefits, is generally welcomed with open arms and makes an excellent anchor for upscale shopping, housing, and mixed-use developments.
But the best bull case for Whole Foods lies in the trend described in The United States of Arugula, the fine history of American foodies by David Kamp. Slowly but surely, Americans are trading in iceberg lettuce for arugula, mache, and mesclun, Wonder Bread for baguettes, Crisco for lardo. And as much as the culture of food snobbery may seem advanced in New York, San Francisco, and Seattle, it is still in its relative infancy in the vast spaces in between the coasts. "I think the whole idea of good food and gourmet eating has begun to transcend the PBS-store bag toter," says Kamp. Costco, he notes, doesn't merely sell enormous jars of Hellmann's mayonnaise, it also stocks sashimi-grade tuna and excellent wines. Organic is shedding its earthy-crunchy stereotype, and quality foods are shedding their Bobo geographical restrictions. Given that, says Kamp, "I think they can succeed beyond the yuppie liberal enclaves and the university towns."
The great challenge for a rapidly growing national chain is to continue to expand without cannibalizing existing stores. Whole Foods doesn't seem to be in much danger of doing that. Its list of stores in development shows the company has an ambitious expansion schedule. Whole Foods plans to open more than 80 new outlets. Yes, it is setting up shop in some predictable places: Madison, Wisc.; Park Slope in Brooklyn. But the list also includes plenty of virgin territory, places where Whole Foods won't compete with itself or with other high-end food purveyors: Birmingham, Ala.; Boise, Idaho; Glastonbury, Conn.; Sugarland, Texas; Richmond, Va.; and Manhattan's Lower East Side. Whole Foods also plans to open its first store in London next year. If the dollar remains weak, that store alone would be a huge contributor to rising profits. |

Ron Clearfield
|
Virato chats with classically trained cellist Ron Clearfield who has worked with such classical music icons as Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copeland and Seiji Ozawa. He has also accompanied such pop artists as George Benson, Linda Ronstadt and Dionne Warwick. He was a featured solo cellist on Judy Collins' Christmas Special for the A&E Television network. On his own recordings, Dream Manifestation, Music in the Silence, and Time On Earth, Clearfield skillfully blends the classical tradition with world music and jazz influences to create a highly atmospheric sound.
The grandson of a pianist and teacher who emigrated to the United States from Russia, and the son of a clarinet player, Clearfield studied violin from the age of ten. He switched to cello shortly afterwards. Receiving a Masters degree in cello performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, he made his professional debut with the Indianapolis Symphony, the same group that launched his father's career more than two decades before.
Clearfield remained with the Indianapolis Symphony briefly before he left to seek work as a freelance cellist in Philadelphia, Houston, New York and Miami. Building a studio in his home, he recorded three self-produced albums before signing with the EverSound label in 1998. His debut album, Dream Manifestation, was released a few months later.
For the past three decades, Clearfield has meditated regularly, using the techniques that he learned from his spiritual teacher Maharaji. He currently serves as associate principal cellist of the Asheville Symphony in Asheville, North Carolina and conducts the Asheville City/Buncombe County Schools Orchestra. He lives in Asheville with wife, and noted artist, Rachel Clearfield. |

Steven Taylor
|
Virato journeys to England, by phone, to chat with Steven Taylor, an author and teacher, whose main interests are spirituality, psychology and anthropology. The author of two books, Out of Time and The Fall, his articles and essays have been published in Abraxas, New Renaissance, The Journal of the D. H. Lawrence Society, The Journal of Consciousness Studies, The International Journal of Transpersonal Studies, New Dawn, The Guardian and Resurgence. Taylor teaches unique courses on personal development (mainly on time perception and the psychology of happiness) at the University of Manchester, and also teaches at England's Salford College. He regularly gives talks and lectures, and is a member of the Scientific and Medical Network. Steven lives in Manchester, England with his partner, young child and new baby.
Steve Taylor gives convincing evidence that legends of a prehistoric Golden Age have their basis in fact. He argues that it is not ‘natural’ for human beings to kill each other, for men to oppress women, for individuals to accumulate massive wealth and power, or to abuse nature. The roots of our current malaise lie in an ‘ego explosion’ which occurred several thousand years ago as the result of an environmental disaster. ‘Primitive’, pre-civilization men and women were largely free of our social ills and had a more unified and harmonious state of being than us. Taylor offers an alternative to the wisdom of the last few centuries and changes the way we think about the human race’s past and future |

The New Energy Movement is dedicated to the study and promotion of advanced, clean, and sustainable energy sources for our imperiled planet. They say that the single most highly-leveraged opportunity for advancement towards solving our complex global problems lies in a transformation of the way human civilization generates and utilizes energy. NEM states that their primary task is to encourage intelligent public debate and action on how best to accelerate these advances, making a rapid transition away from our dangerous dependence on fossil fuels and nuclear power.
The research of NEM is deeply routed in the work of leading edge scientist, Dr. Brian O'Leary, Virato speaks with Dr. Brian O'Leary today by phone in Ecuador. Brain O'Leary is founding director of the New Energy Movement. O'Leary received his Ph.D. in astronomy from UC Berkeley in 1967, and then served as a NASA scientist-astronaut and assistant professor of astronomy at Cornell. During the 1970s he was on the physics faculty at Princeton University and taught technology assessment and energy policy at the UC Berkeley School of Law and Hampshire College. O'Leary was special consultant for the U.S. House Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment, and has advised five presidential candidates on energy, space and science issues. From 1980 until the present, Dr. O'Leary co-founded and directed the International Association for New Science and the Institute of New Energy, and has authored many books, his most recent, Re- Inheriting the Earth: Awakening to Sustainable Solutions. Brian is a sought after speaker and given hundreds of seminars on the frontiers of science and energy.
Over the past decade, his main passion has been investigating the potential of new energy, having co-convened two international conferences, visited numerous researchers, and written two books and authored the New Energy Movement website.
Powerful new energy sources include zero-point energy devices, magnetic generators, and advanced hydrogen processes. Coupled with wind, solar, geo-thermal and other conventional alternative technologies, these advanced energy processes must be employed if we are to accomplish the Herculean task of shifting rapidly from our dangerous dependence on polluting technologies to clean, sustainable energy sources.
It is clear that without these advanced energy sources, we simply may not be able to act with the speed and scope demanded by the immense global emergency we now face. |

He has shown most of the 9/11 DVD's, discussions on the erosion of civil liberties, the New World Order, the monetary system, and income tax. Kevin does this by renting the library and other venues and uses his own equipment, and everything is by donation, meaning a lot of the costs involved come out of Kevin's pocket. ith all that has been happening that
is endangering whales and other seas animals, Virato felt it vitally important to hear from them...the animals. Today, Virato speaks with Mary Getten, whose journey into animal communication began 1986 during the four years she worked at Washington's Marine Mammal Center, a hospital for seals and sea lions. At the center Mary supervised an animal care crew and a harbor seal pup crew, and did rescues and releases. She was also a docent at Pier 39 in San Francisco after the sea lions took residence there. For almost a decade she was a coordinator of the San Juan County Marine Mammal Stranding Network, on staff at Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and a marine naturalist leading whale and wildlife cruises in the San Juan Islands.
Mary has spent more than 13 years getting to know the orcas of the San Juan Islands and several years interviewing these whales about their lives. She lives on Orcas Island in the San Juan archipelago in the northwest corner of Washington State. Island life is slow paced and rural, a wonderful place to commune with nature and animals. Her last 25 years have been spent in spiritual pursuits and personal growth. She says animals are now her spiritual path and what brings her closest to the divine.
Mary Getten now spends all of her time consulting with animals, giving lectures, teaching workshops and writing. Orca links: http://www.orcalab.org/links-section/index.htm |

Serpentine Arborvitae
|
Today Virato is graced in the studio by the presence of Serpentine Arborvitae. Serpentine, now living in Asheville, has cultivated her rapturous vocal music from the roots of ancient cultures and the contemporary genres of ethereal pop, trance, jazz and dance music. In the early 1980’s she trained and performed with many esteemed jazz musicians in this country, including Ornette Coleman.
Prior to that Serpentine had already made her way into the performing arts community in New York. She was an actress in the Broadway hit Godspell and The Who’s renowned rock opera Tommy.
Drawn to the linguistic freestyle explored in jazz, and then later to Middle Eastern sounds, Serpentine formulated her own style of world-pop-music with a unique spiritual slant. In 1993 her solo debut release The First Coil broke new ground and convention with its highly erotic visceral performance and production.
Serpentine's Rock The Goddess in 1995 gained her a commission to write the score for what would become one of Lifetime Televisions most popular Intimate Portraits Series entitled, Witches narrated by Angelica Huston. Returning to her ancestral roots, Serpentine relocated to Israel for several years to experience the feminine energies of the holy land and recorded Temple Of The Heart released in 2000.
This past year Serpentine has placed her talents in service of illuminating the teachings of author Ernest Holmes. On her new CD Dream with Me, Serpentine gives full devotion and recognition to the principles expressed in embracing the spiritual experience of One Mind and the power of thought.

"Others are engaging even in an eco-type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves." -- US Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen, April, 1997
William Cohen made this statement at a conference on Terrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction and U.S. Strategy in his official capacity as US Secretary of Defense; thus this can be taken as an official position of the United States. If the United States Secretary of Defense says that the earth and the sky have been turned into weapons, and are being used as such in present time, I believe we should take this statement very seriously.
So says Virato's guest today, Jerry Smith, author of Weather Warfare: The Military's Plan to Draft Mother Nature who also says that all the conclusions reached in his book are the logical ones based on the presented facts. Smith is also author of the 1998 exposé HAARP: The Ultimate Weapon of the Conspiracy and co-author, with George Piccard, of Secrets Of The Holy Lance: The Spear of Destiny in History & Legend.
Despite the title, Smith's says Weather Warfare is not just about the Military, but rather about the whole environment: earth, air and sea; it is about a lot of players: academic, commercial and military; with a lot of objectives: financial, militaristic and political.
Smith covers the history of "weather control" from the Rain Makers of the 1890s through the development of cloud seeding in the middle of the twentieth century, to today's "off the shelf" technologies of precipitation enhancement, hail suppression and fog dispersal. I cover the many programs to manipulate hurricanes, such as Project Cirrus and Project Stormfury, and what evidence there is of being able to control hurricanes in the 21st Century.
Starting with Nicola Tesla's earthquake machine of the 1890s I trace the possibility of "earthquakes on demand" from the development of a "tsunami bomb" during World War II (as revealed by documents recently declassified by the New Zealand government), through Project Faultless which caused a massive earthquake in the Nevada desert after a high yield atom bomb was intentionally detonated on a fault line, to evidences of human initiation of several major quakes and the 2004 Christmas tsunami with "scalar" or other electromagnetic waves.
Smith also examines claims that chemicals are being deliberately injected into our atmosphere by high-flying planes that are criss-crossing our skies with "chemtrails," and says that Edward Teller, father of the hydrogen bomb and Associate Director of LLNL, actually advocated putting up a "sunscreen" to save the Earth. Many scientific boards and committees have looked into this proposal and found it technologically feasible, but recognized that the legal and environmental hurdles would be too high to overcome to implement such a project--if done openly, so some proposed doing it covertly! Are they? Listen and find out! |

Brian L. Weiss, MD
|
Today, Virato interviews Dr. Brian Weiss. A graduate of Columbia University and Yale Medical School, Brian Weiss is Chairman Emeritus of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami.
As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Weiss was astonished yet skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from "the space between lives," which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss's family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career.
He is the author of Many Lives, Many Masters; Through Time Into Healing ;Only Love Is Real; Messages From The Masters ; Mirrors of Time: Using Regression for Physical, Emotional and Spiritual Healing; Meditation: Achieving Inner Peace and Tranquility in Your Life ; Eliminating Stress, Finding Inner Peace; and his latest Same Soul, Many Bodies
Dr. Weiss maintains a private practice in Miami. In addition he conducts national and international seminars and experiential workshops as well as training programs for professionals. |

Today Virato dialogues with John Hammell, president of International Advocates for Health Freedom, an organization started in 1996 to catalyze global awareness and opposition
to a pharmaceutical industry driven effort to ban consumer access to vitamins and minerals within a therapeutic range via the United Nations Codex Alimentarius Commission.
Hammell subscribes to the views of G. Edward Griffin, founder of Freedom Force International.
In the past 17 years Hammell has consulted on legislation at the state, and federal levels, as well as on legislation in Canada, the UK, the EU, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
In 1997 Hammell exposed International Alliance of Dietary Supplement Trade Associations (IADSA) via the IADSA Exposed Website as a controlled opposition group representing pharmaceutical interests. This phony health freedom group (intended as an umbrella group to represent the supplement industry at CODEX meetings) can't be trusted by any dietary supplement company belonging to any of IADSA's member trade associations--especially NNFA and AHPA in the USA, CHFA in Canada, or HFMA in the UK. IADSA was created to directly oppose IAHF's efforts to call the truth about the Codex vitamin issue to the attention of health food stores, alternative practitioners, small- innovative vitamin companies, and consumers.
Hammell, a lobbyist/organizer for the dietary supplement industry since 1989, witnessed crimes committed by the FDA at Codex meetings in Germany in '96 and in '98 as an observer on the US Delegation to the Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses.
Recognizing that Codex is a totally rigged process, a form of high drama put on for public consumption in which the outcome of the meetings is determined in advance of their even taking place, Hammell sought to expose the questionable actions of US Codex Delegate, Beth Yetley at these meetings because they were totally inconsistent with US Dietary Supplement laws--an obvious attempt to set the USA up for harmonization to a very restrictive global standard.
In 2000, Hammell was kicked off the US Codex Delegation by Dr. Edward Scarborough, US Codex Manager, per the request of Dr. Yetley of the FDA, due to his efforts as a whistleblower seeking to expose her via congressional oversight. After being kicked off the delegation, Hammell demonstrated against the CCNFSDU meeting in Berlin in 2000 as part of Dr. Matthias Rath's demonstration.
On March 20, 2001, the congressional oversight hearing on the Codex vitamin issue which Hammell had pushed for for 5 years was whitewashed. He wasn't allowed to testify, his witnesses weren't allowed to testify, the only person who was allowed to testify was Karl Riedel, a co-chair of NNFA's International Committee who had been badly misled on the issue by his co-chair Randy Dennin, then an employee of Pfizer Pharmaceutical company as CEO of Capsugel, a subsidiary of Pfizer.
Hammell has appeared on more than 300 radio programs pertaining to the Codex vitamin issue including Coast to Coast AM; Sightings with Jeff Rense. This is his second time on VIRATO LIVE!
In 1999 Hammell received death threats for pushing for oversight on Codex and moved from South Florida to a remote location. |

Andrew Harvey of Wisdom University
|
In this final segment, Virato and Barry are joined by Andrew Harvey. Andrew Harvey was born in south India in 1952 where he lived until he was nine years old. It is this early period that he credits with shaping his sense of the inner unity of all religious philosophy. He entered Oxford University in 1970 with a scholarship to study history, and at 21 became the youngest person to be awarded a fellowship to All Soul’s College, England’s highest academic honor.
In 1977, disillusioned with life at Oxford, Harvey returned to his native India, where a series of mystical experiences initiated his spiritual journey. Over the next thirty years he plunged into different mystical traditions to learn their secrets and practices. In 1978, meeting a succession of Indian saints and sages Andrew Harvey began his long study and practice of Hinduism. In 1983, accepted Mahayana Buddhist Bodhisattva vows, and in 1990, collaborated with Sogyal Rinpoche and Patrick Gaffney in the writing of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying.
In 1984, Harvey also began a ten-year-long exploration and explication of Rumi and Sufi mysticism in Paris with a group of French Sufis and under the guidance of Eva De Vitray-Meyerovitch, the magnificent translator of Rumi into French.
He met Father Bede Griffiths in 1992. Harvey says it was this meeting that helped him synthesize the whole of his mystical explorations and reconcile eastern with western mysticism.
In 2005, in the historic Santuario de Guadalupe in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Andrew Harvey delivered his vision of the contemporary crisis now confronting us in today’s world and its potential solution in what he has termed “Sacred Activism,” which he sees as the culmination of his life’s work. This extraordinary occasion was made into a documentary film by available on DVD at the Hartley Film Foundation.
Andrew Harvey has taught at Oxford University, Cornell University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, The California Institute of Integral Studies, and the University of Creation Spirituality as well as at various spiritual centers throughout the United States. He was the subject of the 1993 BBC film documentary The Making of a Modern Mystic and appears also in Rumi Turning Ecstatic and The Consciousness of the Christ: Reclaiming Jesus for A New Humanity.
Andrew Harvey is currently Professor of Sacred Activism at Wisdom University, Executive Director of the Center for Spiritual Democracy, and Founder Director of the School of Sacred Activism. |

Dr.
Zhi Gang Sha
|
Today, Virato interviews, Dr. Zhi Gang Sha who says he began his journey at the age of five when he had a severe allergic reaction to penicillin and lost consciousness. Fortunately, his neighbor, an acupuncturist, saved his life, leaving a deep impression on his young heart and soul.
Dr. Sha received a western medical doctorate at Xian Medical University in China. Disappointed that Western medicine was unable to help patients more, he thought that integrating it with traditional Chinese medicine would combine the best of both systems. Consequently, he also became a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine.
In his late twenties, Dr. Sha was the personal physician to many of China’s top government officials. For the next two years, he also taught acupuncture, Qi Gong and Tai Chi to foreign doctors for the World Health Organization.
In 1988 he read a book by Dr. Zhi Chen Guo that inspired and excited him. He was convinced that this book, on the use of mind power, creative visualization, and hand positions for self-healing was the answer he sought. He would teach people that they have the power to heal themselves. He so passionately believed in this self-healing system that he taught it to his patients, offered free public seminars and shared it on television and radio.
Dr. Sha studied Dr. Guo’s revolutionary healing system, which later became the new medical science of Zhi Neng Medicine. It combines the essence of Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine with energy healing and spiritual healing. Zhi Neng means “intelligence and capabilities of the mind.”
In 1994, Dr. Sha was appointed by Master Zhi Chen Guo to be his worldwide representative . Under Master Guo’s serious training, he deepened his spiritual development. He learned spiritual secrets so that he could communicate with the Soul World. Once his spiritual channels were widely opened, he became a medical intuitive.
Twelve years after first studying Master Guo’s revolutionary medical science, Dr. Sha created Power Healing, a breakthrough healing system based on Zhi Neng Medicine. To heal themselves and others, people use the Four Power Techniques™ of Power Healing: Body Power, Sound Power, Mind Power and Soul Power. Power Healing is ground-breaking because it uses the concept of Soul Power for healing.
After more than 40 years of spiritual study and practice of the ancient Chinese treasures and the healing arts, Dr. Sha created Soul Mind Body Medicine, a revolutionary medicine stemming from the foundation of Power Healing. Soul Mind Body Medicine emphasizes soul over matter plus mind over matter. Its essence is the power of pure love healing. Love will melt any blockage, and forgiveness will bring peace and healing.
Dr. Sha has presented his healing and spiritual teachings at many prestigious gatherings, including the Omega Institute, Grace Cathedral, Esalen Institute, and the World Congress on Qi Gong.
His contributions to spiritual and physical health have touched millions of people, and his teachings are offered through television, radio, books, CDs, DVDs, newspapers, magazines and his website. His book, Power Healing, became a NY Times best-seller, and his Power Healing system was featured in a PBS documentary, Power Healing with Master Sha. In recognition of his achievements, Dr. Sha was named Qi Gong Master of the Year at the 5th World Congress on Qi Gong. |

It's Slowly Poisoning Us!
|
This is a repeat of the VIRATO LIVE! March 25, 2006 program. Virato felt it needs to be heard again since nothing is being done to take this poison out of our water supply. Virato speaks with Dr. David C. Kennedy who has practiced dentistry for more than 30 years, and is currently the Information Officer on fluoride for the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, that say water fluoridation is poisoning us, and in fact, decaying our teeth, rather than protecting them.
Dental fluorosis is now pandemic in fluoridated areas. Fluoride ingestion in our children is clearly out of control given the sky-rocketing rise in dental fluorosis rates in fluoridated communities. Dental fluorosis is recognized by scientists world-wide as the first clinical sign of fluoride poisoning. The health problems caused by fluoride in other countries is well-documented and staggering. There are about twenty nations with health problems due to fluoride ingestion
Dr. Kennedy recently visited villages in Inner Mongolia where he witnessed the conditions that now afflicts 43 million Chinese children with dental fluorosis, 1.6 million Chinese with severe skeletal fluorosis and an at-risk population in the endemic areas of 100 million, roughly 9% of the entire country.
Dr. Kennedy and his wife, hosted by the China Medical University and the People‘s Republic of China Department of Endemic Disease Control, produced a documentary film titled Crippling Waters on the problems of excess fluoride in drinking waters of China and their efforts to reduce fluoride intake. This documentary has been viewed all over the world at scientific conferences, both in Europe and Asia. It premiered at the Defluoridation Conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand in November of 2000, and was widely acclaimed by the participants as accurate, dramatic and revealing. Tell everyone to tune into this program!

Virato dialogues with Leonard Jacobson, a spiritual teacher, mystic and healer deeply committed to helping others break through to the joyous experience of living in the NOW.
Jacobson has been running workshops and seminars for the past twenty-five years offering inspiration and guidance to those on the path of spiritual awakening and enlightenment. His teachings and his presence are a powerful reminder that the source of life and truth is within each one of us.
In 1981, he experienced the first of a series of spontaneous mystical awakenings that profoundly altered his perception of life, truth, and reality. Each of these enlightenment experiences revealed deeper and deeper levels of consciousness, filling his teachings and his writings with profound wisdom, clarity, love and compassion.
He lives in Santa Cruz, California and offers evening teaching sessions, weekend workshops, and longer residential retreats in the United States, Europe, and Australia.
He is the founder of The Conscious Living Foundation, a registered non-profit organization. In 2005, he was awarded the Peace Prize by Religious Science International, although he is not affiliated or associated with any religion or church. His teaching is both inclusive of and transcendent of all religions and spiritual traditions. It is for all those genuinely seeking to awaken, and for all those who do not yet realize that they are genuinely seeking to awaken.
Leonard Jacobson is the author of four books, Words from Silence, Embracing the Present, and Bridging Heaven & Earth and his latest book, Journey into Now. |

| Today, Virato chats with Walter Starcke whose extraordinary life reads like fiction. On his quest for life’s ultimate answers Starcke has donned the role of modern mystic, Broadway producer, successful business entrepreneur, powerful keynote speaker and author of six best-selling books, It’s All God, The Third Appearance, The Double Thread, The Ultimate Revolution, The Gospel of Relativity, and Homesick for Heaven.
In his career on Broadway, Starcke co-produced I Am A Camera which led to the musical Cabaret, and resulted in his being one of the youngest producers to have received the New York Drama Critics Award. He also served as Assistant Director on the original production of Roger and Hammerstein’s The King and I. Starcke’s friends in his theater days ranged from such literary giants as Noel Coward, Cole Porter, and his own peer group of friends – Gore Vidal, Truman Capote, Tennessee Williams, Marlon Brando, and Paul Newman, who Starcke discovered and introduced to Paul’s first agent.
After serving as a Naval Officer in World War II, Starcke’s all consuming fire to find universal truths lead him to travel the world a half dozen times to study the major world religious philosophies. This trek took him from Lama Govinda’s ashram at the border of Tibet, to the Vedanta monastery in Southern California, with Swami Prabhavananda, in the days that Aldus Huxley and Christopher Sherwood were there. As Starcke says, “they were setting the patterns in the late forties for the explosion of interest in the mystical and metaphysical movement that is taking place today.”
His mentor and most influential teacher was the Christian mystic and author of The Infinite Way, Joel S. Goldsmith -- an association that began in 1946 and lasted until Goldsmith’s death eighteen years later. Starcke traveled extensively with Goldsmith, who introduced him from the platform at his first talk in New York and in London, and asked Starcke to lead many of his meditations.
After over 40 years of silence, Starcke now reveals the private side of Joel Goldsmith and the sometimes tumultuous and often inspiring experiences included in their eighteen year relationship in his latest book release, Joel Goldsmith and I: The Inside Story of a Relationship with a Modern Mystic.
At the International New Thought Alliance Conference in 2001, Starcke was awarded its Mystical Century award. Holding a Doctor of Divinity degree from Emerson Theological Institute, he currently sits on the Board of Directors of Unity School at Unity Village Missouri.
At the young age of 85, Starcke continues to amaze and inspire with his teachings that close the gap between our divinity and our humanity. He lectures nationwide, and offers seminars and intensives in select cities.
For more information on Starcke’s books, tapes and lecture dates contact the GUADALUPE PRESS, PO Box 865, Boerne, Texas, 78006 or call 830-537-4655. |

Today Virato chats with Ramesh Bjonnes of The Prama Institute in nearby Marshall, NC, as well as Hanna Elias, the director of the award-winning film, The Olive Harvest. The institute provides facilities and programs for educational seminars and retreats in the area of spirituality, environmentalism, sustainable economics, holistic health, and other intellectual and artistic fields that contribute to human development and social change.
In 1990, 44 acres of beautiful forest and grass lands were purchased by the international yoga and meditation group, Ananda Marga, outside Asheville, North Carolina.. Named Ananda Girisuta (Daughter of the Mountain), the area had panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and became the foundation for a future eco-village.
At that time, P. R. Sarkar, founder of Ananda Marga, encouraged the development of eco-villages in all regions of the globe. The purpose of these eco-villages, he envisioned, was to serve the surrounding community through service and education and by encouraging a more spiritual and sustainable lifestyle.
As time passed, the natural resources and beauty of this land seemed ideal for the development of a holistic seminar center. An additional 100 acres of land was purchased in 2004, and The Prama Institute, a professional retreat and educational facility with 45 plus beds, was completed in the fall of 2006.
On April 26 and 29, at the Fine Arts Theater in Asheville, The Prama Institute presents The Olive Harvest, which won the Skyy Prize at the San Francisco Film Festival. The screening will be followed by Q and A with the film’s writer/director Hanna Elias.
The Olive Harvest integrates an enchanting tale of romantic love, tradition and family loyalty into the larger climate of political and economic unease in a Palestinian countryside. The acclaimed film was made with an Israeli crew and a Palestinian cast. With this film, writer/director Hanna Elias wants to show that building trust and respect by living and working together is the best way "to deal with a conflict that has engulfed all of us in a hundred years of violence."
Hanna Elias will also conduct the following workshops at the Prama Institute: How To Be An Indie Filmmaker And Love It, a workshop for experienced and aspiring filmmakers. Saturday, April 28, 1-4 PM |

Today Virato converses with Dr. Fred Smith, founder of Raise the Level of the Pond, a not-for-profit spiritual organization, author of Conscious Concepts, and builder of this web site.
Frederick James Smith was raised in a small town in Montana. He received a typical Roman Catholic upbringing, attending a local Roman Catholic grade school, where his training for life was mostly religious and performance oriented, rather than spiritual and internal. He spent a lot of time day dreaming, both in school and out, nothing dramatic, just a lot of mind-time. His mother, who had pet descriptions for each of her children, called him "My little dreamer". His parents were supportive of his "dreaming", but had few skills with which to deal with their son's "inner space," and his upbringing remained mostly task oriented.
Later he would begin to sort out which inner processes were mind, which were brain, and which were spirit. Since that time he has constantly studied in the fields of religion, spirituality, psychology, metaphysics, and eventually, medicine. He became a Doctor of Medicine (University of Oregon), specializing in the field of Medical Neurology, which deals with the brain and nervous system, and worked in this field in private practice for twenty years. While practicing medicine, he expanded and refined his understanding of the brain and how the mind and spirit operate through it, learning through his interaction with thousands of patients and their families.
Dr. Smith has developed personal tools that have worked well for him, which he calls "Conscious Concepts". He has organized five of these tools into a teaching curriculum called A Rediscovery of Free Will, arranged in the same sequence that he teaches his students, face to face. Dr Smith has withdrawn from the formal practice of medicine in order to share his understanding, knowledge, and wisdom, on various topics, with individuals, groups, and over the Internet, with the intention of reaching a wider audience than would be otherwise possible. His journey has led him to be ordained as a minister, symbolic of the union of scientific and spiritual knowledge. |

Extraterrestrials and
Abductions
|
The very words "alien abduction" suggest one of the greatest mysteries of our time. Who are these beings visiting us from the sky? Why are they here? What is their true relationship with us?
Today Virato interviews Craig Lang, author of The Cosmic Bridge which addresses these perplexing and vital questions head-on. We explore a new perspective on the close encounter phenomenon, that of an evolving relationship for the benefit of both humanity and the visitors. Here, we develop a hypothesis of why they are here, and what it means to humanity.
For any hypothesis to be valid, it must be testable. What must we see for the hypothesis to be correct? How would a cosmic civilization interact with Earth? What would be--or is--our reaction to open/overt alien contact? How might humanity be interacting with the visitors, today? These are some of the the ultimate questions of our time and in examining them, we begin to see an entirely new view of this enigma.
Craig Lang is a certified hypnotherapist with the National Guild of Hypnotists. In addition to hypnotherapy, he is a field investigator with the Mutual UFO Network and research UFO sightings, anomaly reports and close encounters.
Craig has a full-time job in software engineering with a medical electronics company in St. Paul, Minnesota. In addition, his other interests are astronomy, parapsychology, creative writing, spirituality and meditation. |

Bishop Jordon
|
Virato speaks with Bishop E. Bernard Jordan a Christian who has a different view of biblical principles and ethics essential to successful living.
His messages on reformation and liberation have sparked both acclaim, as well as controversy, as he teaches what he calls "the unadulterated word of God." A liberator in his own right, Bishop Jordan says he is charged with preparing the church for the New Millennium and stands with the heart of a father, acknowledging that he is but one of hundreds of thousands called by God to prophesy.
He says that poverty is a state of mind, and that people can plan and think their way out of poverty. According to Jordan, “The rich think differently. That’s how they became rich! They don’t acknowledge limitations. The rich live in uncertainty and take risks. They have faith in their ability to overcome uncertainty. They act on faith, not fear. Fear does not stop them. The rich do not live in want; they know they are the key to unlock what they want.”
Bishop Jordon says The Laws of Thinking is The Secret unfolded. He says it's a manual on life that will catapult you to your destiny. He probes such questions as: Who are you? Who are you becoming? What ideas do you have within you that could yield you great wealth? Unlike The Secret, the bishop unveils 19 other laws of the universe that, he says can change the fabric of your mind, transform your life and reshape your world.
Bishop E. Bernard Jordan is also a modern-day prophet. In 1989, he predicted Hurricane Katrina, which had a devastating effect on the people of the Gulf Coast. Sought after by nations of the world for his accurate prophecies, Bishop Jordan has prophesied to millions of people. The founder of Zoë Ministries in New York City, a prophetic gathering with a vision to impact the globe with Christ’s message of liberation, Bishop Jordan, has a Ph.D. in religious studies, and has written more than 40 books, including the bestsellers Mentoring, Spiritual Protocol, What Every Woman Should Know about Men, The Power of Money, and Cosmic Economics. |

Judith Orloff, MD
|
Today Virato interviews Judith Orloff, MD. Transforming the face of psychiatry, Dr. Orloff asserts that we are keepers of an innate intuitive intelligence so perceptive that it can tell us how to heal--and prevent-- illness. Yet, intuition and spirituality are the very aspects of our wisdom usually disenfranchised from traditional health care.
Dr. Orloff, who comes from a family of 25 physicians, advocates "a democracy of healing," wherein every aspect of our being is granted a vote in the search for total health.
A board-certified psychiatrist and assistant professor of psychiatry at UCLA, Dr. Orloff draws upon her own intuitive abilities, evident to her since childhood. Her struggles acknowledging and then finally embracing her gift of heightened intuition are chronicled in Second Sight (Warner Books). Her second book, Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing (Three Rivers Press) shows how breakthroughs in healing our body, emotions, and sexuality are accomplished by listening to intuition. Her latest book Positive Energy (Harmony Books) completes a trilogy of books around awakening intuition and subtle energy. Positive Energy is a New York Times and Los Angeles Times bestseller, and has been translated into 23 languages.
She has spoken at medical schools, hospitals, the American Psychiatric Association, Fortune Magazine’s Most Powerful Women Summit, and alternative and traditional health forums—venues where she presents practical intuitive tools to doctors, patients, and everyday people.
Dr. Orloff M.D. is featured regularly in print, broadcast and online media. Her work has been featured in O Magazine, Self, Cosmopolitan, Reader's Digest, The Washington Times and New York Post. She has appeared on The Today Show, CBS Early Show, CNN, PBS, and NPR |

| Virato dialogues with Richard Moss, MD, internationally known and respected visionary thinker, teacher and author of six seminal books on transformation, self-healing, and the art of conscious living.
Richard left the practice of medicine after a life-changing realization at the age of 30, and dedicated his life to helping people realize their multidimensional nature and achieve fulfillment and wellbeing. Over the years his work has continued to evolve and bridges science, psychology, energy medicine, and spiritual/awareness practices. His philosophy is entirely pragmatic: work on consciousness must alleviate human suffering and address the root causes of why and how we create so much conflict in ourselves and our world.
Richard eschews dogmatic beliefs; rather he supports and encourages the kinds of practices that help each person realize their own sense of the sacred. He emphasizes enlightenment, not as a final state or achievement, but as a lifelong process of growing in presence, humility and the clarity to accomplish the things that fulfill one’s own life and improve life for everyone.
As a guide, rather than telling people how to live, or bringing simplistic formulas for the solution of life's problems, Richard constantly affirms that positive growth requires dedicated work, and to do that work people need effective tools and practices. He insists upon the importance of experiencing the higher potentials within oneself in order to know them directly. His work is primarily experiential and secondarily didactic. In his seminars and even in his short programs Richard proposes activities that support the embodiment of the dimensions and principles being explored and unites this with clear cognitive maps and specific practices that allow each participant to continue to mature that knowledge in their daily lives. He offers gatherings that awaken new levels of understanding and foster enduring emotional balance and spiritual maturity. As a leader, he speaks to the inner teacher within each person. He has the special gift of awakening individuals of all backgrounds and disciplines to greater meaning in their lives and guides them to utilize the power of their awareness to grow in happiness, wisdom, compassion, and service.
His books include: The I That is We (1981), How Shall I Live (1985), The Black Butterfly (1986), The Second Miracle (1995), all published by Celestial Arts, plus a collection of aphorisms entitled, Words That Shine Both Ways (self-published in 1997). His newest book, The Mandala of Being: Discovering the Power of Awareness, New World Library, is available Feb. 2007. His works have been translated into Spanish, French, German, and Danish and have sold more than 200,000 copies worldwide.
For over thirty years Dr. Moss has taught in North America, South America, Europe and Australia. He has been interviewed in many magazines and newspapers, and has presented at numerous conferences and at such institutions as Harvard University, Stanford University, University of Chicago Medical School, U.C.L.A., U.C. Berkeley, American University, Washington DC, Georgetown University, John F. Kennedy University, and Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company.
Richard Moss Seminars organizes and coordinates the conferences, talks, and seminars taught by Dr. Moss, as well as producing all of his audio and video materials. Three Mountain Foundation, a California not-for-profit charity, was founded in 1984 to support Richard’s work by providing scholarships and interest free loans to individuals in financial need who wish to attend his seminars.
Richard lives in Ojai, California, with his wife Ariel. |

Bye
Bye
Bees,
Bye
Bye
Humanity!
|
A mysterious decimation of bee populations has German beekeepers worried, while a similar phenomenon in the United States is gradually assuming catastrophic proportions. The consequences for agriculture and the economy could be enormous. Some say a very quick domino effect will end humankinds food supply within 4 years! It would happen virtually overnight! In fact, some scientists say it is already happening. This means we are on the glide path for 2012. Albert Einstein once quoted: "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man." Events in recent months have suddenly made Einstein's apocalyptic vision seem all the more topical. For unknown reasons, bee populations throughout Germany are disappearing. And it's not only happening in Europe. We are seeing it in the US and around the globe...Right now.
Many are saying the cause is genetically modified food, or genetically modified organisms (GMO), others are saying it is the pervasive use of cell phone technology, and yet others see it as endemic, a part of the overall collapse of our ecosystem
Is this it? Can anything be done?
Virato's guests this morning are Debi Athos, founder and director of Asheville's annual Organicfest, Debra Roberts founder of The Honey Bee Project, and Carl Chesick, bee expert. |

| Virato chats with Mitchell E. Gibson, MD a board-certified forensic psychiatrist, writer, artist, software developer, public speaker, spiritual teacher, and author of a new book, Your Immortal Body of Light.
Dr. Gibson received his medical degree at the age of 25 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then completed his residency training at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. During his last year of residency he served as Chief Resident in Psychiatry and received the Albert Einstein Foundation Research Award for his work in Sleep Disorders. Dr. Gibson is a former Chief of Staff at the East Valley Camelback Hospital in Mesa Arizona. Dr. Gibson has been the mental health consultant for NBC-Affiliate KPNX-TV12 Phoenix for the past eight years. Dr. Gibson has also been consulted by every major television, radio, and newspaper service in Arizona for his expertise in the fields of mental health and human behavior.
Dr. Gibson is also an accomplished contemporary artist and has shown works In New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Philadelphia, Scottsdale, San Francisco, and numerous other cities around the globe. He recently received the Jury Prize for Creativity in the competition at the Museum of Fine Art in Paris and his art work is published in the Encyclopedia of Living Artists and New Art International. Dr. Gibson has consulted for feature articles for Upscale, Ebony Essence, the Arizona Republic, Phoenix Gazette, Arizona Informant, Arizona Business Journal, The Mountain Astrologer, The Astrological Reporter, American Astrologer, and a number of other business and trade journals. He was also the host of a regional weekly radio program entitled The Male Perspective on KFNX,1100AM Phoenix.
...and now the unusual part
What is most amazing about this man is that at work he watched hospital visitors and patients 'walk through' deceased patients loitering in the hospital hallways weeks after their deaths, leading him on a journey few will ever experience. He says he was shown the essential nature of The Living Soul and how we can choose to become immortal, if we believe it's possible.
Your Immortal Body of Light is a true story that takes Gibson out of his ordinary awareness and into the deeper realms of higher consciousness. Both fascinating and chilling, this is not your everyday spiritual awakening story. On his quest, he actually encounters an ancient ‘god of healing’ known as Djehuti (pronounced Dee-jan-tee), or Thoth. Being a board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Gibson wavered more than once before accepting that he was indeed speaking with an actual spiritual entity. The experience persisted and eventually Djehuti revealed profound information to Gibson regarding the formation of the soul, the higher nature of mankind, and the hidden spiritual causes of mental illness.
“For thousands of years, wise men and philosophers have told us that humans are created with a dual nature, the mortal self and the immortal self……coming face to face with one’s immortal half and learning to write about it rationally has been a sobering and enlightening experience.. … ,“ explains Dr. Gibson. |

Arjuna Ardagh
|
Virato interviews Arjuna Ardagh, founder of the Living Essence Foundation in Nevada City, California dedicated to the awakening of consciousness within the context of ordinary life. He is the author of Relaxing into Clear Seeing, How About Now, The Last Laugh (a novel), and the national bestseller, The Translucent Revolution as well as the creator of the Living Essence Audio Series.
Arjuna was educated in England, at King's School Canterbury, and later at Cambridge University, where he earned a Master’s degree in literature. Since the age of 14 he has had a passionate interest in spiritual awakening, and began to practice meditation and yoga. In his late teens he trained as a meditation teacher. After graduating from Cambridge, he devoted himself more fully to the call he felt inside him, and studied with a number of prominent spiritual teachers. In 1987 he founded the Alchemy Institute in Seattle WA, and trained several hundred people in a transpersonal approach to hypnotherapy.
In 1991, after returning to India, Arjuna met HWL Poonja and went through a radical shift of perspective. Rather than attaining anything of what he had dreamed of, he had the profound realization that he had been seeking for what he already was, and always had been. He realized that it was in the abandonment of seeking and wanting that the heart found its fulfillment.
In 1992 Arjuna returned to Seattle and began to share with other people what he had recognized to be true. He quickly discovered that this same realization was easily accessible to anyone who was willing to look in the right place, and that this had a profound effect on simple day-to-day life. He has been traveling, both in the U.S. and Europe, for the last 12 years, facilitating this kind of shift, and reflecting with people on the art of living life from this recognition. Arjuna has experienced that the shift is becoming progressively easier for ordinary people, with no formal preparation, and he has met with many other teachers and writers who have come to the same discovery.
Arjuna Ardagh and his wife Chameli have also been responsible for introducing a powerful transmission of energy, known as Deeksha, which rapidly accelerates the evolution of consciousness. Deeksha can be given by the Deeksha-giver placing their hands on the head of the receiver. It can also be given to a whole room of people at the same time, through intention, and it can also be given through the eyes. The transmission of the Deeksha energy does not take more than a few seconds, but can also be given for longer periods.
Arjuna has also developed the Living Essence Training, which prepares people to be facilitators of this shift in consciousness with others, and to cultivate translucence. He and his staff have trained more than 450 practitioners in the U.S. and Europe. He speaks at many international conferences, and has appeared on TV, on the radio and in print media. |

Lou Reed
Virato talks with legendary guitarist, Lou Reed. Born March 2, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY, Reed co-founded and wrote most of the songs for the New York rock group The Velvet Underground (1965-70), the influential band which recorded such cult favorites as Heroin, Sweet Jane and Sister Ray. The Velvet Underground, at first associated with Andy Warhol and the singer Nico, was never a huge popular success, but it has been credited with influencing a generation of punk and post-punk rockers in the 1970s and '80s. During the '70s Reed and David Bowie were among the top acts in "glam rock," a theatrical style of gender-bending rock and roll. Reed's solo hits from the '70s include Walk On The Wild Side and Street Hassle, as well as re-vamped versions of several of his Velvet Underground songs. By the end of the 1990s, Reed was an elder statesman of rock and roll, a mature songwriter with a reputation for thoughtful urban ballads. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.Lou Reed’s fans have learned to expect the unexpected, but his latest work may still come as a surprise. After four decades in the rock spotlight, Lou Reed has turned his attention to the world of meditation music, inviting listeners on a relaxing journey to the hidden territory of his inner landscape. With Hudson River Wind Meditations, the iconic “art rocker” presents his first album created specifically for quiet contemplation.
A practitioner of yoga and T’ai Chi for many years, Reed brings his unique sensitivity and knowledge of a broad spectrum of music genres to provide a tranquil bed of soothing harmonics that open the heart and settle the mind. The pieces on this hypnotic album wash away tension and negative energy with sparse instrumentation and subtle waves of electronic sound. Be forewarned...it's a different Lou Reed!

Virato's guest this morning is the director of Four Directions Solidarity Network, a grassroots movement of both native and non-native people coming together from the four directions to preserve traditional indigenous culture, support the health of Elders and traditional keepers, as well as provide tools that return us to a sustainable relationship with our relations, and our Mother, the Earth.
We are not only talking Native Americans, we will discuss all indigenous tribes, including the indigenous Europeans known as the Iladurarrak or Moaene,, which means 'sacred moon people'.
The Iladurarrak were semi-nomadic tribes of hunter-gatherers whose
ancestors developed a rich society and culture over portions of the
European continent for more than 40,000 years, before giving away to the better known proto-Celt, Celtic, and Norse cultures. They are one family in the larger complex of Paleo-Mesolithic tribes that extended from the Iberian Peninsula in the west to Eastern Russia.
Now, after a long period of slumber, the Iladurarrak are returning as
people of European heritage are called back to the ways of their Asaba -their Ancestors during this great time of change. Hou! Hou! |

Paul Krassner
| There is no question that the 1960s was a period of massive cultural revolution. Today, Virato chats with one of the icons of that generation, Paul Krassner. Krassner, who calls himself an investigative satirist, was labeled by Don Imus as “one of the comic geniuses of the 20th century.” On the other hand, a couple of FBI agents went to one of his performances and stated in their report, “He purported to be humorous about government policies.” His FBI files indicate that after Life magazine published a favorable profile of him, the FBI sent a poison-pen letter to the editor, complaining: “To classify Krassner as a social rebel is far too cute. He’s a nut, a raving, unconfined nut.”
“The FBI was right,” says George Carlin. “This man is dangerous--and funny; and necessary.” ABC newscaster Harry Reasoner wrote in his memoirs, “Krassner not only attacks establishment values; he attacks decency in general.” So Krassner named his one-person show Attacking Decency in General, receiving awards from the L.A. Weekly and DramaLogue. He is the only person in the world ever to win awards from both Playboy (for satire) and the Feminist Party Media Workshop (for journalism).
When People Magazine called Krassner “Father of the underground press,” he immediately demanded a paternity test. Actually, he had published The Realist magazine from 1958 to 1974. He reincarnated it as a newsletter in 1985. “The taboos may have changed,” he wrote, “but irreverence is still our only sacred cow.” The final issue was published in Spring 2001.His style of personal journalism constantly blurred the line between observer and participant.
Krassner covered the antiwar movement; then co-founded the Yippies with two other revolutionaries, Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin. He published material on the psychedelic revolution; then took LSD with Timothy Leary, Ram Dass and Ken Kesey, later accompanying Groucho Marx on his first acid trip. He edited Lenny Bruce’s autobiography, How to Talk Dirty and Influence People, and with Lenny’s encouragement, became a stand-up comic himself, opening at the Village Gate in New York in 1961. Ten years later--five years after Lenny’s death--Groucho said, “I predict that in time Paul Krassner will wind up as the only live Lenny Bruce.” He was nominated for a 2005 Grammy Award in the Album Notes category for his 5,000-word essay accompanying a 6-CD package, Lenny Bruce: Let the Buyer Beware. Krassner rarely works the comedy-club circuit, preferring to perform on campuses, at theaters and in art galleries.
He has been a guest on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, and on Air America Radio with Janeane Garofalo and with Marc Maron.
Krassner's articles have appeared in Rolling Stone, Spin, Playboy, Penthouse, Mother Jones, the Nation, New York magazine, National Lampoon, Utne Reader, the Village Voice, the San Francisco Examiner, the Los Angeles Times, the L.A. Weekly, High Times and Funny Times.
He hosted his own talk radio show in San Francisco, was head writer for an HBO special satirizing the presidential election campaign, and did on-air commentary for the Fox network’s Wilton-North Report.
Mercury Records released his first two comedy albums, We Have Ways of Making You Laugh and Brain Damage Control. Artemis Records released his next four: Sex, Drugs and the Antichrist: Paul Krassner at MIT, Campaign in the Ass, Irony Lives! and The Zen Bastard Rides Again.
His autobiography, Confessions of a Raving, Unconfined Nut: Misadventures in the Counter-Culture, was published by Simon & Schuster, and his other books include: The Winner of the Slow Bicycle Race: The Satirical Writings of Paul Krassner, with an introduction by Kurt Vonnegut; a trilogy of anthologies--Pot Stories For the Soul, with an introduction by Harlan Ellison, Psychedelic Trips For the Mind and Magic Mushrooms and Other Highs: From Toad Slime to Ecstasy--Sex, Drugs and the Twinkie Murders: 40 Years of Countercultural Journalism; Impolite Interviews; Murder At the Conspiracy Convention and Other American Absurdities, with an introduction by George Carlin; and One Hand Jerking: Reports From an Investigative Satirist, with a foreword by Harry Shearer and an introduction by Lewis Black, to be published in Autumn 2005.
At the 14th annual Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam, Paul Krassner was inducted into the Counterculture Hall of Fame--“my ambition,” he claims, “since I was three years old.” In May 2004, he received an ACLU Uppie (Upton Sinclair) Award for dedication to freedom of expression. |

Vishnu Dass

Ayurveda is thought of by many scholars to be the oldest form of health
care in the world. Originated in India over 5000 years ago, it was
taught for thousands of years in an oral tradition from accomplished masters to their disciples. The purpose of Ayurveda is to heal, to maintain a high quality of life, and to increase the longevity of the individual. Aside from being the oldest system of herbal medicine, Ayurveda is also an art of daily living that has evolved from philosophical, spiritual and practical insight --from understanding the complexity of Creation to the daily individual needs and goals of each person.
Although used for thousands of years, Ayurvedic principles have never
changed, since they derive from universal laws of nature that are
eternally true. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda (Ayur-Veda) means the "science of
life," in the sense that life is the integration of body, mind and
consciousness. The Ayurvedic approach to health is truly holistic and
individualized, and Ayurveda states that the path to optimum health is
different for each person.
Today Virato chats with Asheville's leading authority on this ancient
tradition. Vishnu Dass is an Ayurvedic practitioner and educator, and a Board Member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. He is the founder and director of Blue Lotus Ayurveda, an Ayurveda and Panchakarma Clinic in Asheville, NC, where he offers authentic Ayurvedic health care and therapies. Vishnu Dass, a graduate of the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics, a Professional Member and Board Member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, teaches and lectures on Ayurveda and yoga philosophy throughout the southeast and has published several articles on Ayurveda in both local and national publications, and is currently in the process of publishing an Ayurvedic herbology book. |

Krishna Das
|
In the winter of 1968, Krishna Das met Ram Dass, who had just returned from his first trip to India. After living and traveling with Ram Dass in the U.S., and hearing Ram Dass' many stories about Maharaj-ji (Neem Karoli Baba), Krishna Das traveled to India, where he was blessed to meet and stay with this extraordinary guru.
While living in India for almost three years, Krishna Das' heart was especially drawn to the practice of Bhakti Yoga—the yoga of devotion. Fanning the flames of his inner longing, Maharaj-ji led him deeper and deeper into the practice of kirtan—chanting the Names of God. As an appointed pujari (priest) for the Durga temple in Maharaj-ji's ashram in the foothills of the Himalayas, Krishna Das immersed himself in the worship of the Divine Goddess.
Krishna Das spent as much time as possible with Maharaj-ji over the years in India. Early in 1973, he was asked by Maharaj-ji to return to America.
Krishna Das says, "At what would turn out to be my last darshan of Maharaj-ji's physical body, I was petrified with fear about returning to the U.S. after so many years. I hadn't worn a pair of jeans or shoes for such a long time that I couldn't imagine what it would be like. I didn't want to ask Maharaj-ji what I should do in America, but all of a sudden I blurted out in anguish, 'Maharaj-ji! How can I serve you in America?'
'He looked at me with mock disgust and said, 'What is this? If you ask how you should serve then it is no longer service. Do what you want.' I couldn't believe my ears. How could doing what I wanted to do be of service to him? I didn't have that kind of faith. I just sat there, stunned. Then after a minute or so he looked over at me, smiling sweetly, and asked, 'So, how will you serve me?'
'My mind was blank. It was time for me to leave for Delhi, to catch the plane back to the States. He was looking at me and laughing. I bent down and touched his feet for the last time and when I looked up he, he was beaming at me, 'So, how will you serve me in America?' I felt like I was moving in a dream. I floated across the courtyard and bowed to him one more time from a distance. As I did, the words came to me, 'I will sing to you in America.'
Soon afterwards, during the full moon in September, Neem Karoli Baba left his body. Now he had to be found within. The chanting, the meditation, the puja and all the wonderful time spent with Maharaj-ji turned out to be seeds that he himself had planted in my heart... seeds that would keep growing and blossom by his Grace.
Over the years Krishna Das has made numerous pilgrimages throughout India, meeting teachers and saints of many spiritual traditions on his quest to open and purify his heart. Living in jungles, in ashrams, and in holy places throughout India, he has had an opportunity to absorb the ancient truths that have been held by the Indian culture for thousands of years. He has studied Buddhist meditation practices with Anagarika Munindra and S.N. Goenka, and has been initiated into Tibetan Buddhist practices by lamas from various lineages.
Today Virato chats with
Krishna Das who has been chanting on a regular basis in yoga centers all over the world. He has taught with Ram Dass and sung for many yogis here and in India. |

Dolores Proiette, Ph.D.
Do you have an unaccounted block of time? Are there unexplained, unusual marks suddenly occurring on your body? Do you have disturbing or upsetting dreams of visits aboard alien space craft? Have you experienced unusual or profound events with Beings not of this earth? Have you had unusual, profound encounters or visitations when you were a child? Are they still occurring?
Are UFOs real or imagined? ..and what about abductions? An abduction experience can be confusing, traumatic, and disruptive to a person's life. In some cases, the individual may not have conscious knowledge of the abduction, but subconsciously has been traumatized. Sometimes the individual may not wish to acknowledge the event. If he or she chooses to talk about it, friends and family often chastise them. Like other physical and emotional traumas, the experience for many people must remain secret, and the stress caused by these events and memories can negatively affect a person for years.
Yet in other cases, an encounter with an extraterrestrial being may enhance your skills or awaken you to another part of you and your connection to these beings.
An uncovering and, if the encounter was traumatic, releasing of these events through hypnotherapy can bring balance and harmony into the mind, body and spirit.
Is it possible that many of us have contact with ETs that is then ‘erased’ from our conscious mind, but is still left in our subconscious mind for hypnosis to reveal?
Virato's guest today is Dr. Dolores Proiette, a hypnotherapist who just wrote a book called Unveil the Past, Heal the Future through Hypnotherapy, says she became a believer in extraterrestrials after repeated hypnosis sessions with numerous clients.

| Even in the rarefied world of dietary trends, where being a vegetarian is now almost passé, and where others eat bacon and chicken-fried steak to lose weight, raw foodists have been considered extremists. There's just something unsettling, uncomfortable even, about the idea of eating only uncooked fruits and vegetables. Today's program explores a raw foods diet, and why it is vital that we eat such a diet. Local guests will explain it all.
"People think 'Raw food? Ah, she's just chewing on carrots.' No, we eat pasta and pizza and sandwiches and rolls," says a local raw foodist.
Of course, these kinds of prepared foods in a raw food diet are made from live (growing) or raw (uncooked) organic fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds, which may or may not be dehydrated (the raw food version of cooking). There's no flour in sight. Grains, in fact, are sprouted, a lengthy process that involves soaking, rinsing, draining and exposing to sunlight just long enough for the seed to begin to grow.
But the result is fresh, nutrient-rich food with all of its enzymes and vitamins intact, food that hasn't harmed the environment via pesticides or wasteful packaging. And this, say raw foodists, is what it's all about. Eating vibrant, energizing food that feeds your body-and soul. Virato's guests today are Angela Stokes ===> and Gwendolyn Morton, both supporting a live foods lifestyle.. |

It was back in the 80s when Virato marched down Philadelphia's South St. singing/chanting Hare Krishna with today's guest. It was around then that Jesse Arana came into his life. Jesse, still occasionally known as Japa, or Japananda, represents a unique New Paradigm Renaissance generation, and vibes well with Ritalin era people.
In his early 20s Japa connected with Virato at the New Frontier Magazine offices in Philadelphia, PA, USA. This was about 5 years after Virato himself had returned from India.
Before his walk across the United States...and back...as a non-denominational monk, Japa spent several month's as Sales Manager for New Frontier, and in that time created more revenue than any one person ever is such a time period.
At times appearing a vagrant and other times the spiritual Czar of a palatial home in Atlanta's suburbs, this urban sadhu has authored at least two book we know of, started and ran a successful spiritual art newspaper in Philadelphia, and a few years ago founded the now-closed spiritual bookstore, cafe, and meditation center, Amma's Chai House near Atlanta.
A genius computer programmer, graphics designer and photographer, he lives outside Atlanta. |

| Scientists recognize that most disease states are caused by oxygen starvation at a cellular level. We receive most of our oxygen from the air around us, but breathing isn't always enough. There's a way you can actually generate more oxygen in your body to achieve optimum health and longevity.
Virato's guest today, Nathaniel Altman, author of The Oxygen Prescription, says "bio-oxidative therapies," such as intravenous hydrogen peroxide, and medical ozone therapy, are effective on diseases such as cancer, osteoporosis, hepatitis, the flu, Candida, and malaria. He also shows how you can enhance the effectiveness of the different treatments through diet and the use of minerals, herbs, exercise, and visualization.
Altman studied at the University de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia and the University of Wisconsin Madison, from which he graduated in 1971. He has traveled extensively throughout Latin America, Europe, India, North America, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand and China, sharing his knowledge of oxidative therapies.
Altman has written or co-authored over fifteen other books on holistic health, diet, nature, and other metaphysical subjects, his first being Eating for Life: A Book about Vegetarianism. |

| Everyone has had luminous moments — those instances when we experience the beauty and grace of life, whether we’re looking into the eyes of a newborn or watching the sunset over the ocean. But those moments are usually brief and difficult to intentionally create.
Many of us have been successful in attaining personal and professional goals, but we’re too exhausted to enjoy what we’ve accomplished. Or, we might walk around in a fog, feeling vaguely frustrated, resigned, or cynical and asking all the wrong questions about how to make our lives better. In either case, we miss the purpose of being alive: to wake up and fully become ourselves, to allow others to contribute to us and, in turn, to contribute our gifts to the world—fully savoring the journey along the way.
Virato's guest today is Maria Nemeth, Ph. D., author of Mastering Life's Energies, with more than twenty-eight years' experience as a clinical psychologist
Former clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at University of California--Davis School of Medicine, Dr, Nemeth is the founder of the Academy for Coaching Excellence and Mastering Life's Energies, a personal and professional development seminar that she claims, "teaches people how to shift their relationship with money from scarcity to abundance." Her widely acclaimed work has been brought to the attention of a broader audience by her recent appearance on the Oprah Winfry Show. She is also the author of The Energy of Money.
Dr. Nemeth's new book offers specific methods for bringing luminosity into our lives on a consistent basis, allowing us to view the world with younger, more vibrant eyes. She says "it
shows you how to use all the energies of your life — physical vitality, creativity, time, money, enjoyment, and relationship — to realize your goals and dreams and, even more important, to live a luminous life, filled with possibility and promise."

with
Shelley Yates
| We are in a time when natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes, and tidal waves are dramatically affecting our planet, and our lives on it. We now have the power to destroy this beautiful Earth quickly, with atomic power, or more slowly, with pollution and devastation of our resources, and overpopulation.
Today, Virato chats with Shelley Yates, an ordinary woman on an extraordinary journey. She lives in Nova Scotia, Canada, and has not only died and come back, but has come back with a message of hope and love for our earth and its inhabitants.
Shelley and her son, Evan, drowned in 2002 when their car sank to the bottom of a flooded marsh. Trapped in the car, a voice told Shelley not to struggle or she would not be able to be revived when she would be rescued. She had never heard such a voice before this. She did not believe in God, and says, "I was a 'diehard atheist'." Yet, she did not struggle, and she drowned. It was 15 minutes before she was rescued.
After she was revived, she alerted the EMT's to find her son Evan, who was age 4 at the time. Close to 30 minutes passed before he was pulled from the water. It took more time for the EMT's to get him breathing again.
At the hospital, her son was diagnosed as brain dead with non-viable organs, and given less a 1% chance of surviving. However, Shelley was told by "the voice" that he would recover if many persons came and shared the energy of their auras for 20 minutes each. She was told that this would in effect "jump-start" Evan.
So, Shelley scheduled people to come to the hospital around the clock for three days. After 72 hours of constant vigil, Evan opened his eyes and recognized his mother. His recovery proceeded rapidly after that. He was in excellent shape after only six weeks. He did have a short-term memory problem, but now even that has been healed.
"The voices" also told Shelley that the earth needs the same help. We share energy with the earth in a living loop. However, because so many of us have disconnected from Source, our energy is so low that we are not returning energy to the earth. As a result the Auric energy field of the earth has been depleted and is disintegrating.
Shelley was told that we can "jump-start" the energy system of the earth if we combine the energy of our love and gratitude for one hour beginning at 11:11 AM. GMT on Wednesday, July 17, 2007 (That's 6:11 AM to 7:11AM. Eastern Time.) We are invited to join in a world-wide vigil for that hour, holding within our consciousness something that brings joy and for which we feel thankful. We are asked to extend gratitude to the earth because energy is sent out when we are in that state of mind. The resulting surge of energy will be a catalyst to enable the earth to sustain its own energy again.
The word has been spreading. The message, plan, and invitation have been translated into ten languages with two more soon to receive it. Local coordinators have been spreading the information in 200 countries. The plan is becoming common knowledge among youth. See her website.

All About the
| Virato speaks with Arthur Evangelista, PhD, a former investigator for the US Food & Drug Administration, who became a "whistle blower."
Now living in the Asheville area, he will share some of the hideous secrets going on in this sinister part of the federal government, as well as other ways the federal government is deceiving and manipulating its citizens.
He also has insight and knowledge of the Military-Industrial Complex, which he will be freely sharing with us.

Today Virato speaks with Barbara Hand Clow, an international author, lecturer and ceremonial teacher. She majored in philosophy at Seattle University, then behavioral psychology at the University of Washington, Seattle, and then began extensive reading and study of Reichian, Freudian and Jungian Psychology. In 1969, she discovered that astrology was an exceedingly accurate diagnostic tool, and she began her study and practice of astrology. In 1982-83, she earned a Master's degree in theology and healing with Matthew Fox in Chicago, and her thesis compared Jungian psychoanalytic technique and past life regression therapy.
