When I was a kid, I remember going to the corner drugstore for a banana split, or an ice cream soda. It's been a long time since the drug store has being dispensing its 'legal' drugs.

Today, it has become more slick, and they don't use the name corner drug store any longer. Today it's the Coffeehouse.

While there is continued effort by government to keep the use of marijuana suppressed, little or nothing is being done by our government to crackdown on caffeine! The "drug lord" of the country, Starbucks,  is as persuasive as the dealer on the corner selling crack-cocaine to kids.

Now, every city and hamlet in this country boasts their array of drug...oops, coffeehouses, and more people have become addicted to both caffeine and sugar in the past 5 years than ever in history.

See informationon caffeine and what it can do to the body. Now there seems to be a substitute beyond the various herbal coffees out there, such as Cafex. It's called soybean coffee.

I applaud those establishments that offer a consumer choices of caffeine-free beverages. I was really surprised recently when I saw an Echinacea & Goldenseal drink being sold in Asheville's Beanstreet's ...as a pop drink. Right on Richard....
