Saturday, May 10, 11 AM-Noon
When Healing Becomes a Crime In 1840, horse farmer John Hoxsey learned his prize stallion had a
malignant tumor on its right hock. He couldn't bear shooting the
animal, so he put it out to pasture to die peacefully. Three weeks
later, he noticed the tumor stabilizing, and observed the animal
browsing knee-deep in a corner of the pasture with a profusion of
weeds, eating plants not part of its normal diet.
Within three months the tumor dried up and began to separate from
the healthy tissue. The farmer retreated to the barn, where he began
to experiment with these herbs revealed to him by "horse sense." He
devised three formulas: an internal tonic, an herbal-mineral red
paste, and a mineral-based yellow powder for external use. Within a
year the horse was well, and the veterinarian became locally famous
for treating animals with cancer. The farmer's grandson John C. Hoxsey, a veterinarian in southern
Illinois, was the first to try the remedies on people, and claimed
positive results. His son Harry showed an early interest and began
working with him at the age of eight. When John suffered an untimely
accident, he bequeathed the formulas to the fifteen-year-old boy
with a charge to treat poor people for free, and to minister to all
races, creeds, and religions without prejudice. He asked that the
treatment carry the Hoxsey name. Finally, he warned the boy against
the "High Priests of Medicine" who would fight him tooth-and-nail
because he was taking money out of their pockets. Hoxsey's Dallas stronghold grew to be the world's largest privately
owned cancer center with 12,000 annual patients and branches
spreading to seventeen states. Congressmen, judges, and even some
doctors ardently supported his quest for an investigation. Two
federal courts upheld the therapeutic value of the treatment. Even
his archenemies, the American Medical Association and the Food and Drug Administration, admitted that the therapy does
cure certain forms of cancer. Then in the late 1950's the AMA lobbied legislators on the
federal and state levels, saying that Hoxesy was a quack, and on the
heels of a California law criminalizing all cancer treatments except
surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, the federal government finally
outlawed Hoxsey entirely in the United States in 1960 on
questionable technicalities. Today Virato chats with Kenny Ausubel,
CEO of the
Bioneers,
and author of
When Healing Becomes a Crime.

LETS on
VIRATO LIVE!
It's time to reconsider how we deal
with money. One of the paradoxes of money is that it is
increasingly just blips of information - just a measuring system
that we pretend is also valuable - but it does lead to some
peculiarities.
Today Virato chats
with Asheville participants in
LETS,
and in British Columbia, Mike Linton creator of LETS, and
another spokesman for LETS
James Taris live from China.
The Asheville Local Exchange Trading System
(LETS) is a network
restoring local economic control through the community exchange of
services, resources and advice. Unlike direct trade (where both
parties must want what the other offers and exchange in roughly
equal amounts), LETS members exchange services for credits
(called, simply, "lets" instead of "dollars") which can then be
swapped for the services of any other member in the network. Members
earn lets" in ways they could never earn "dollars," and they can get
what they need without spending cash "dollars."

Saturday,
May 17, 11:06 AM to Noon Fred Bell Modern
Renaissance
Scientist Genius
LIVE!
V irato chats
with Dr. Fred
Bell, grand
nephew of
Alexander Graham
Bell, inventor
of the
telephone.
Dr. Bell's
family is
slightly
eclectic, and
some might say
eccentric. For
example, his
father, Allan
Bell, also a
scientist genius,
brought the London Bridge
from England and
put it in the
middle of the
Arizona desert
and built a city
with a pond
around it called
Havasu City.
Because of his
heritage. young
Bell was
propelled into
science at a
very early age.
At age 14, he
was not only
working at the
University of
Michigan on
nuclear energy
projects, but
was also
inducted into
the U.S.
government's
project called
M. K. Ultra.
This early mind
control research
covered such
topics as past
life regression,
and the popular
remote viewing
used today by
the CIA
and other
intelligence
gathering
factions
worldwide.
At 16 years of
age he moved on
to join the U.S. Air Force.
Although
technically, he
could not wear a
uniform until
his 17th
birthday, he
began working in
the Air Force on
highly
classified
projects,
several
involving early
warning radar
defense systems
and the
detection and
tracking of
extraterrestrial
craft. He was
one of the first
to bring the
awareness of the
famed DDS
Form-213 to
public
awareness.
When people
began to
exercise their
freedoms to
previously
classified
information, it
was discovered
that the DDS
Form-213 was
used in fact by
the U.S. Air
Force to
report
internally to
the government
of the presence
of
extraterrestrials
and their craft.
Today Bell still
works on a
program known as
the Disclosure
Project,
along with Dr.
Steven Greer, in
de-compartmentalizing
the various
agencies that
are working in
concert with
extraterrestrials.
His latest
best-selling
book,
Rays of Truth:
Crystals of
Light
covers these
topics in-depth.
After Bell's
time in the
military, he
worked in the
aerospace
industry on the
military version
of Star Wars,
laser
development,
submarine and
missile guidance
systems, and
finally the NASA
Apollo missions.
During this time
he worked with
he late Warner
von Braun and
Scott
Crossfield, of
X-15
fame.
After his NASA
related work,
Bell went into
the private
sector and
consulted to
over 3000
companies on
topics such as
computer
science,
biological
science, medical
science,
environmental
testing, quality
control,
weaponry,
aircraft
research, and a
variety of other
technical
realities.
He then left
this work and
began studying
with Himalayan
Masters. During
this time he
became
internationally
known as a
contactee to a
Pleiadean group
of
extraterrestrial
humanoids whom
were here to
help the people
on earth save
themselves from
their own
destructive
tendencies. This
group comes from
a star system
500 light-years
from earth. For
this effort the
Russian society
of cosmonauts
(astronauts),
awarded Dr. Bell
the
distinguished
scientific
progress award.

Saturday,
May 17, Noon-1PM Every Word Has Power
Today
Virato chats with Yvonne Oswald, a PhD candidate in clinical
hypnosis and on the ethics committee of the Association for
Integrative Psychology. A therapist and facilitator, Oswald is a
teacher and hypnotherapy trainer. She is a master NLP and Time Line
Therapy™ practitioner, and a regression therapist. Oswald is the
author of a new book,
Every
Word Has Power
(Simon &
Schuster, April 2008). She says that the words we say and think not
only describe our world, but actually create it. She goes onto say,
"They have a profound impact on our lives; in fact, our self-talk
produces 100 percent of our results." Oswald says that by simply
filtering out unsupportive words from our language we can transform
our perspective, relationships, and ability to manifest our deepest
needs and desires. She says she holistically blends the science of
language, physical well-being, and emotional cleansing. to reconnect
you with your original empowerment blueprint, and develop your
understanding for a lifetime of success.
Yvonne
Oswald is a keynote speaker ad she regularly appears on local and
national radio and television programs discussing personal growth
and development.

Saturday,
May 24, 11:06 AM to Noon Walking Between Worlds - Belonging to None
Virato speaks with author Ann
Andrews, exploring new realms of possibilities where humanity takes
its place as Cosmic Citizens; realizing our divine destiny where the
Earth becomes a station of light, a point of great radiance and
vitality, beaming out into the Universe.
"This
is the story of Jason, my Indigo child…" Thus begins her story of a
mother living in England with a unique experience to share about her
life and her son, Jason. What sets Jason apart from the many other
young children who are now being born with exceptional
multi-dimensional abilities called “Indigo Children” is that Jason
is not only an "alien abductee," but is himself of extraterrestrial
origin. Jason explains that “Technically we are all
Extraterrestrials, because there is none amongst you who ‘comes’
from here.”
After years of
uncertainty, he progressed from an initial standpoint of fear and
terror to a point in his teens when he began accepting “their”
teachings and to acknowledge who he is – one of many Indigo
or Star Children here on earth helping humanity to evolve to
the next evolutionary step. Jason says he came to our planet with
two purposes: “I wanted to experience what it was like to be human,
and as a human, I would be in a better position to help the rest of
you when the time comes.”
Now that
Jason has “awakened” to who he truly is, he welcomes their
interaction and works with the ETs. He has developed into a powerful
psychic with amazing healing abilities. Walking Between Worlds –
Belonging to None offers a fascinating account of strange and
unusual events; yet it also takes us into new realms of
possibilities where humanity takes its place as Cosmic Citizens;
realizing our divine destiny in which Earth becomes a station of
light, a point of great radiance and vitality, beaming out into the
Universe.

Saturday,
May 24, 12:06 PM to 1 PM Excuse Me, Your God is Waiting
While
atheists do listen to VIRATO LIVE!, for many, the search for
the true self begins and ends with God. Certainly this is true for
Virato's guest today, author Michelle Prosser. Prosser opens her
life experiences to light the way for those who undertake their own
journey of self-discovery. There are many books that teach us how to
use the Law of Attraction to bring into reality the life we
really want.
Excuse Me, Your God Is Waiting puts God front and center in
the process and in our lives. We not only benefit from Prosser's
many experiences but also from the numerous exercises she
includes--exercises that allow us to get to know God, perhaps in a
different way than we've ever experienced before. She shows us how
to make God a part of each day, each experience, each trial, and
each celebration.

Saturday,
May 31, 11:06 AM to Noon An Enlightening Tale Virato talks with author
John Penberthy who says
"great spiritual teachers speak not of learning more, but of
letting go, of surrendering. This is can be difficult for adults
because the familiar is so, well…familiar."
Born
with an insatiable curiosity which he says made him an ardent
student of life and spirit, Penberthy's first conscious memory
is that of "beeing" stung by a bee at age one.
Penberthy is the author of
To Bee, or Not To Bee, which came to him in a
meditation, not unlike Neal Donald Walsch and Conversations
With God. Now in 11 languages, it has the aroma of Jonathan Livingston Seagull,
The Peaceful Warrior and
the Celestine Prophecy. It is fiction "cum-new age
philosophy"
He says
there’s a way to
replace the angst and discontent which underlie life in the
modern world with fulfillment and inner peace, and it’s easier
than we think. Penberthy
says the young are more open and have less to unlearn. He
addresses the young in each of us. "This is why Jesus said,
“Until you become like little children you cannot enter the
kingdom of heaven.”
To Bee or
Not to Bee is an inspirational story of such innocent
wisdom and how it leads one young worker bee to spiritual
awakening. In the story, Buzz Bee who knows there’s got to bee
more, is pulled into a spiritual journey which gradually teaches
him some of life’s most important lessons. With the help of a
new found mentor, and some harrowing experiences, Buzz comes to
understand that life is too
important to bee taken so seriously,
and that the only way out is in, and that
life is a journey from I to we.
Though he
thinks his search is for God, what Buzz ends up finding is
himself. And when his journey finally dumps him off, he finds
that he’s not at the end, but at a whole new beginning.
Penberthy who also spends time in corporate
America, and lives in Boulder, Colorado with his wife and daughter.

The Shell Game (A Novel) The events of September 11th, 2001...the invasion of Iraq...the
threat of radical Islam...an impending showdown with Iran. What do
these situations have in
common? Oil. And the world is running out.
Today Virato chats with author
Steve Alten about his novel The Shell Game a cautionary tale
that exposes the next “9/11 event” a deception that will lead to a
retaliatory chemical weapons strike on Iran and the terrorist
elements the regime supports. Though the novel is written as
fiction, it is filled with all-too-real details provided by insiders
in the oil industry, military, and Middle Eastern affairs that
extrapolates real events from the past and present that will lead us
down a path of self-destruction...unless we stop the insanity now!
The story opens
when two CIA operatives meet with an American Colonel in
military intelligence. The war is going badly, and President Bush,
who steadfastly refuses to back down, remains unchallenged at home
as Democrats and Republicans continue to toss verbal grenades –
positioning themselves for the 2008 elections. Meanwhile, Iran’s
pursuit of nuclear energy will yield enriched uranium within five
years -- uranium that can be used to manufacture suitcase nukes.
The United States’
military is too drained to invade Iran, and a preemptive strike is
out of the question...unless a nuclear detonation were to occur on
in American city -- the enriched uranium traced back to Iran. A U.S.
reprisal would strike a death-blow against radical Islam, quell the
insurgent violence in Iraq...and yield more oil. Yes, the cost is
unthinkable – but if we sit back and do nothing then one day a dozen
suitcase bombs could go off in a dozen American cities – bringing
with it anarchy and the collapse of Western civilization.
December 2011: Ashley “Ace”
Futrell is an oil expert working for Petro Consultants, married to
Kelli Doyle, a former National Security Advisor and one of the CIA
spooks from the opening scene. When Kelli threatens to expose the
plot, Ace finds his existence hurtling down a rabbit’s hole of
deceit where the orchestrated lies of the powerful few could lead to
the darkest days of human existence... and the death knell for
billions.

Saturday, May 31, 7:30 PM Special Alert! President Bush implored residents of Haywood and surrounding
counties in North Carolina to 'just say no' to an evening with a
California based song healer and humorist, Scott Kalechstein.
Scott has been on the administration's 'No Sing' list since the FBI
noted an alarming 27% average drop in the public's fear of terrorism
the day after his events. Bush directly appealed to his base for an
all-out Kalechstein boycott, earnestly addressing the estimated 33
Asheville residents who still support his presidency: "His events
give hope to our enemies. When his CD's were played in Iraq, we had
reports of our troops hugging insurgents. Need I say more?"
/fontfamily>
The President legally could not stop the
evening from happening, but he was planning to send the former
Attorney General John Ashcroft to be Scott's opening act in the
hopes that there would be no people left in the room by the end of
Mr. Ashcroft's performance. /fontfamily>
Mr. Kalechstein, who has been called a cross between Eckhart Tolle,
Robin Williams, and John Denver, suggested that he plans to 'stay
the course' and go on with the festivities despite the threats from
Bush to send Ashcroft. /fontfamily>
Scott's evenings are dangerously and subversively improvised, with
the audience requesting songs about spirituality, personal growth,
pet peeves, etc. Nobody knows what will come out of his mouth next,
including Scott. He has been suspected of intoxicating his audiences
with inert joy gases. People are warned not to drive or operate
heavy machinery after having been to a Kalechstein performance. And
victims exposed to his music are often rendered completely unable to
control their laughter or hang on to their worries.
