Rev. Banks was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1938. He attended St. Michael's Roman Catholic school where he had an epiphany at the age of 9, in which, during an apparition, Jesus appeared to him and directed him to a spiritual life. 

He studied to be a Roman Catholic priest, and later converted to the Church of Christ where he brought over 3,000 men and women to Jesus. 

In 1958, his ministry took him to the island of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea, where he traveled the same roads as walked by the apostle Paul.  While in Malta witnessing for Jesus, Rev. Banks was arrested and imprisoned for his Christian evangelism.

In 1976 he had another epiphany bringing him to an exalted state. In 1979 he went to India where he learned of the ancient art of Tantra, and  its application to the teachings of Jesus. 

He now resides in Asheville, North Carolina, where he preaches love and let go. He also travels to Russia often doing his missionary work.
